A bridge that spans the Dayi River between Tafi Atome and Anfoe Aveti is in danger of collapsing due to its deteriorated condition.

Due to the bridge’s current configuration, trade and transportation lines from Ho through Tafi Atome to Kpando, as well as to other areas of the Oti region, including Dambai, are being disrupted.

The Ghana News Agency (GNA) was informed by Mr. Ossoh Alphonse, Opinion Leader, Tafi Atome, that the bridge was a linked one made up of two independently built bridges.

The Dayi River, he claimed, easily breaches its banks, producing a different channel in addition to running beneath the first bridge, which was built by a German company.

According to Mr. Ossoh, the circumstance forced another company, Voradep, to build a new bridge over the river.
