The Sports Writers Association of Ghana (SWAG) has showered praises on Dreams FC following their historic feat at the ongoing CAF Confederation Cup.

Dreams FC is on the verge of booking a place in the finals of the continental party after a goalless draw against Egyptian side, Zamalek SC last Sunday.

A statement signed by Mr. Kwabena Yeboah, President of the Association said, “The Sports Writers Association of Ghana (SWAG) have observed with discerning and itching interest, the consistent and accelerating performance of Dreams Football Club in the ongoing CAF Confederation Cup.”

It said the team’s dominance on the continent is as a result of the level of professionalism demonstrated by the playing body, technical team, and other key players.

“At a time when many are concerned about the dwindling fortunes of Ghana’s club football, you took up the challenge, ignoring obstacles and decided to face the giants in Africa in your quest to “bring back the love”, it said.

SWAG noted that Dreams FC’s success in the CAF Confederation Cup would redeem Ghana’s almost lost glory at club level football.

It called on Ghanaians to rally behind Dreams FC as they take on Zamalek SC at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Sunday.
