Stomzy promises to support 30 new scholars at the University of Cambridge.

Michael Ebenezer Kwadjo Omari Owuo Jr. known professionally as Stormzy, has pledged fund the university education of 30 black students at the University of Cambridge.
The scholarship would provide a maintenance grant, significantly reducing the need for recipients to take out government or commercial loans.
In a post on his social media page, he said “each scholarship funds the tuition fees and maintenance costs for a 3 or 4 year degree course”.
As part of an ongoing collaboration between the financial organisation HSBC UK and the musician’s charity, Merky Foundation, everyone would receive a £20,000 annual scholarship.
Stormzy said, “For a further 30 black students to have the opportunity to study at Cambridge University – the same year we celebrate five years of the scholarships’ launch – feels like an incredible landmark moment.”
32 UK black students have received financial support through the Stormzy Scholarship since its launch in 2018, helping to transform their university Experience.
