Following a ‘disciplinary infraction’ that saw Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang benched for Arsenal’s Premier League triumph over Southampton over the weekend, the club captaincy has been removed from him.
The 32-year-old, who was once the club’s record signing and has 92 goals in his 162 games for Arsenal, will also be absent against West Ham on Wednesday night.

- Klay Thompson is on his way back. The Warriors’ star’s schedule is as follows.
“Following his latest disciplinary infraction last week, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will no longer be our club captain, and will not be considered for selection for Wednesday’s match against West Ham United,” the club said in a statement on Tuesday morning.
“We expect all of our players, especially our captain, to follow the norms and standards that we have all established and agreed upon.” “We are completely focused on tomorrow’s game.”
Aubameyang is thought to have returned late from a pre-approved travel to France last week to see his mother, who has been ailing.
He was granted permission to go on the condition that he return on Wednesday night, but did not land in the UK until Thursday morning.
