Free math sets, pens and pencils were given to more than 1,500 junior high school pupils in the Twifo Hemang-Lower Denkyira District who were taking the Basic Education Certificate Exam.
Lawyer Seth Agyapong-Mensah, parliamentary candidate for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), spearheaded the donation as a way to encourage the students to study harder in order to pass their impending examinations.
The items, which were valued several hundred cedis, were in keeping with the PC’s goal of promoting equitable access to high-quality education throughout the district.
The distribution was a part of the procedures taken to make sure that no candidate had the fundamental learning materials needed to pass the test.
Attorney Agyapong-Mensah began the distribution at various public elementary schools at 1000 hours.
