Kalaahi community appeals for a potable water source for health facility.

Residents of Kalaahi, a primarily agricultural town in the Wa East District, have pleaded with charitable people, organisations, and the government for assistance in supplying clean water sources for the local hospital.
They said that the lack of access to clean water made the Community-based Health Planning and Services (CHPS) facility in the neighbourhood unable to function properly.
On July 11, 2023, the Wa East District Health Directorate opened the CHPS facility for the Kalaahi community as part of a community initiative to increase timely access to primary healthcare services, particularly maternal health services like skilled delivery.
