A computer lab has been established by the Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) Foundation for Integrated and Strategic Development (FISTRAD) in Sandema, Builsa North Municipality, Upper East Region.
The lab’s goal is to make it easier for the Municipality’s students to study information and communications technology (ICT).
With sponsorship from Paul E. V in Germany, the lab is outfitted with 12 desktop computers, an air conditioner, printer, and a projector, all of which are projected to cost GH45000.00.

The facility is a part of a skills training centre built by the NGO in 1996 to teach young people weaving and tailoring. The facility also has a library section with books available to the general public.
