On August 12, 2023, at the Neoplan Station in Accra, Ghanaian director Samuel Whyte plans to introduce a public awareness campaign for traffic safety.
The “Samuel Whyte Foundation,” as it would be known, would carry out measures related to road safety, such as educational programmes, infrastructural improvements, and community outreach activities.
According to Samuel Whyte, the foundation will lead efforts to promote road safety that aimed to alter the thinking of drivers in order to create a safer environment.
Our efforts, he stated, “would be to create a positive change in road user behaviour, enhance community safety, and minimise the financial and emotional burden associated with road accidents.”
The foundation’s fundamental ideals and methods, according to filmmaker Whyte, are commitment to road safety, public advocacy and education, and innovation.
