Ms. Jean Ng, Regional Director for Enterprise Singapore in West Africa, has revealed plans to open an online mall and supermarket in Ghana by the fourth quarter of 2023.
She said that the project, which would be carried out in cooperation with the Maxmart supermarket, the e-commerce site Jumia, and a Singaporean business called Vega, would bring over 50 Singapore products to Ghana.
She explained that this would also provide employment for Ghanaians, particularly the young, and would foster a favourable business environment for additional collaborations between Ghanaian and Singaporean businesses.
She stated via zoom that CFO Group and affiliated institutions would also establish a centre to give training for Ghanaian developers in the region’s economic collaboration with Singapore.
