Two of the seven defendants in the theft case at the home of Madam Cecilia Dapaah, a former Minister for Sanitation, have been granted GHC1 million bail with three sureties by an Accra Circuit Court.
According to reports, the two accused people are nursing mothers.
Five additional people were also given remands by the court to the police.
Eleven counts of alleged theft of a substantial sum of money from the former Minister’s home are brought against the defendants.
Six counts of theft and five counts of receiving something dishonestly are included in the charges.
The sureties must be justified, according to a court order issued by Mrs. Afia Owusuaa Appiah.
