The 23-year-old helped the United States men’s national team defeat Mexico in the inaugural edition of the CONCACAF Nations League campaign this summer.

Christian Pulisic has been named 2021 US Soccer Male Player of the Year after helping the United States men’s national team win the inaugural edition of the CONCACAF Nations League campaign this summer. The 23-year-old also became the first American to win the UEFA Champions League earlier this year with Chelsea.

Unbelievable year for Pulisic

Pulisic scored six goals and provided four assists last season for Chelsea across all competitions and netted one against Real Madrid in the first leg of the 2020/21 Champions League semi-final, the first goal scored by an American at that stage of the competition. Despite a breakout season in his second year at Stamford Bridge, he has been linked with several clubs over a potential move.

Pulisic missed several games after testing positive for COVID-19 and suffering an ankle injury. But since his return, he has become a key player for his club and national team, scoring the winning goal in the final of the Nations League to defeat Mexico 3-2 to secure his first title with the USMNT.
