A 51-year-old taxi driver has been ordered into police prison by an Accra Circuit Court after he allegedly injured a security guard unlawfully over plantains.
In accordance with the Act 101-day regulation, Odoi Okpoti was detained to ensure that the victim’s life was not in danger before the court made its decision.
According to police chief inspector Moses Mensah, the victim, Walter Adjetey Lomo, was a security guard, while the complainant, Justina Lomo, was a beautician.

They are all Apaapa, Louisiana locals.

According to the prosecution, the victim often sold plantains to individuals before harvest and had a plantain garden in his compound.

According to the report, the defendant observed a cluster of plantains in the victim’s yard and indicated interest in purchasing it.
