The 2018 African Games, which will be held in Ghana, will implement the “Green Game Strategy” as part of efforts to combat climate change, according to Mr. Mustapha Ussif, the Minister of Youth and Sports.

Athletes from 55 African nations will compete in 22 sports at the 13th African Games, which are slated for March 8–24, 2024. Sports will include Badminton, Cycling, Swimming, Athletics, and Tennis, among others.

The 2018 African Games will put a special emphasis on recycling, trash reduction, emissions reduction, water conservation, and sustainable transportation, according to the sports minister, who was speaking at a press conference in Accra.

This plan intends to turn the occasion into a showcase for environmental responsibility and sustainability, demonstrating our dedication to protecting the environment while holding a top-notch athletic event.
