To guarantee inhabitants have access to high-speed phone and data services, Mrs. Ursula Owusu-Ekuful, the Minister for Communications and Digitalization, officially opened Rural Telephony Networks in three communities in the Kumbungu and Tolon Districts.
The three solar-powered masts, one for each hamlet, with a 20-kilometer-radius network would also serve the nearby settlements.
Tibung in the Kumbungu District and Nagbligu and Jagriguyili in the Tolon District of the Northern Region are the beneficiary communities.
Additionally, as part of the nation’s digital revolution, the Minister opened a Community Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Centre in Tolon to assist in teaching students and other citizens digital skills.
