Unemployed man sentenced to ten years in prison for stealing.

An unemployed young man who stole from a military officer was given a ten-year prison sentence including hard labour by the Accra Circuit Court.
Prince Kyei is also charged with breaking into the military officer’s house and damaging the wooden door lock there for GHC $400.00.
Kyei entered a guilty plea to three charges of stealing as well as unauthorised entry and malicious damage.

He entered his own plea of guilty, and the court, presided over by Mr. Samuel Bright Acquah, found him guilty and sentenced him to ten years in prison.

Andy Ankrah, the driver who helped him do the act, was charged with aiding and abetting and entered a not guilty plea.

Ankrah received a GH50,000 bond with two sureties.
