Wednesday afternoon in Accra’s Central Business District. At Rawlings Park in Makola, Nana Amoako Mensah and his group are occupied with their job under a temporary tent.
His business, Lemonde GH, creates custom-made jewellery and accessories out of brass and antique cedi coins.
Although he has been in the industry for the last five years, the concept of creating a global brand dates back to 2002.

Before opting to launch his own company, Mensah worked for a short time in a few public and commercial institutions while studying business information systems at Zenith College.

“I have a passion for the arts, so after putting off the thought for a time, I chose to take it up and do something. “Lemonde” is French for “the world.”
