Senegal will arrive in Rwanda on Friday, December 31, 2021, to begin preparations for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations, which will take place next month.

Last week, head coach Aliou Cissé named a 27-man roster that included Liverpool’s Sadio Mane, Chelsea’s first-choice Édouard Mendy, and Watford’s Ismaila Sarr.

The legion from outside of Cameroon is set to join the squad on January 3, 2022, seven days before their first game in Cameroon.

The Teranga Lions, who are based in their home country, are due to report to camp this week in preparation for the continental event.

Senegal is in Group B and will play Zimbabwe on the 10th of January before meeting Guinea on the 14th. Four days later, they would play the Malawi Flames in their last match.

Senegal finished second in the 2019 tournament in Egypt, which featured 24 countries for the first time.
